Modern Vienna can be explored by going on a sightseeing tour or just as easily by taking a walk through the city.

The contemporary architecture of Vienna has been drawing more attention since the 1990s – national and international architects have been shaping the cityscape since that time: the Gasometers designed by the architects Jean Nouvel, Coop Himmelb(l)au, Manfred Wehdorn and Wilhelm Holzbauer caused an international sensation, the Museumsquartier ranks among the world’s biggest cultural quarters and the skyline of the city on the Danube is growing continuously. The French star architect Dominique Perrault designed the tallest building in Austria, the DC Tower 1.

The current architectural hot-spots of the capital city can be found at the “Viertel Zwei”, one of the most divers and most exciting recently developed areas of Vienna. Is is home to the university of economics with the Library & Learning Center designed by Zaha Hadid Architects at its heart.

You become acquainted with a completely different side of Vienna on this tour.
